“ Excellent dishes all around. Everything is perfectly done; sauces are great but never overpowering the seafood. If you haven’t tried, the Scalibut (scallopHalibut) is exceptional. GW fins reminded me some of the Michelin-rated restaurants I tried in south France; it has easily become our favorite seafood restaurants in NOLA. Cons (if any): I don’t find our waiter being exceptional helpful in describing the dishes; he just recommended a few dishes without providing any description or explanation. But luckily everything we order came out great. ”
“ I’m convinced this is the best restaurant in New Orleans. I make it a point to visit every time I’m in town. Another stellar dinner and dining experience at GW Fins tonight! Had the grouper today which was cooked to perfection. The fried oysters, tempura fin wings, and lobster bisque were also on point. And of course had to get the salty malty for dessert! The bread pudding is also a winner. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting NOLA and strongly recommend making reservations in advance because they get packed up quickly! ”

“ Excellent food and service. Had the aged bluefin tomahawk, sheepshead, scalibut and albacore family style for 5 people. Everything was excellent. Biscuits were great and they kept coming! Vegetarian alternative to the biscuit (as they have lard)- cornbread was amazing. Cocktails on point. Great service. Desserts were also excellent (coconut shell, ice cream pie and creme brulee). Overall a fantastic meal. Only slight complaint was the room was loud. ”
“ Ate a delicious meal with friends Sat evening, April 2025. Our waiter was attentive and knew the menu like the back of his hand! The crispy snapper breast was amazing. Best red snapper I had in the city. My friends had the scalibut and the American Red Snapper dish, they both highly recommended! For appetizers we had crispy pork belly, fried oysters and lobster dumplings, all delicious! Make your reservations and come try this place out. ”

The service is impeccable – attentive without being intrusive, and the staff are clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the menu. I got the center cut filet. It was cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. Calamari was great too but wish they gave you more. Biscuits were amazing and it was the reason we didn't have room for dessert! ”
